Our Story
From Soldiers to Solutions
BlinkTroll was founded in Norway by two former Norwegian soldiers, Kenneth Skorpen and Øystein Hatlestad Hovland.
With firsthand experience from military operations and training, they saw opportunities to improve the tools available to those preparing for the battlefield. What began as a shared ambition to create meaningful, life-changing innovation has grown into an international team developing next-generation defence technology.
Today, BlinkTroll brings together engineers, military professionals, technology specialists, partners, and collaborators working toward the same mission: creating better solutions for those who serve.

Startup of the Year
BlinkTroll was selected as Startup of the Year by the Odense Robotics Community, recognizing the company's innovation, development, and contribution to the robotics ecosystem.
2025
A New HQ in Odense
Following rapid growth, BlinkTroll exited the Odense Robotics Startup Hub and Incubator into its own headquarters in Odense.
The new facility provides the space and infrastructure needed to expand our engineering, development, testing, and operations.
2025
€1.5 Million Pre-Seed Investment
BlinkTroll closed a €1.5 million pre-seed funding round to accelerate the development of next-generation combat technology for NATO allies and partner nations.
The investment enables us to expand our team, accelerate product development, and bring new capabilities from concept to field.
2024
Joining the Odense Robotics Ecosystem
BlinkTroll became part of the Odense Robotics Startup Hub & Incubator, connecting the company with one of Europe's leading robotics ecosystems.
The program provided access to facilities, expertise, networks, and collaboration opportunities that helped accelerate BlinkTroll's development.

Where It Began
BlinkTroll was founded in Norway by Kenneth Skorpen and Øystein Hatlestad Hovland, two former Norwegian soldiers with a shared ambition to develop technology that could make a real difference for those serving on the front lines.
